COLORS’ newest offering DEV: Most-wanted detective or Wanted Criminal is creating ripples with its crisp and fast-paced storyline. With the plot of the finite series encapsulating the life of Detective Dev Burman, actor Ashish Chowdhry has his work cut out for him!

Garnering praises for his portrayal of the quirky detective, Ashish has been going the extra mile to make the character truly memorable.

The cases Dev solves are inspired from the real-life events which bring in an element of action and stunts! After an action-packed stunt, which saw Ashish suspended from a 21-storey building, the actor has upped the ante with a high-octane underwater stunt which required him to be submerged for nearly 5 hours. To add authenticity to Dev’s struggle for his life whilst underwater, Ashish even instructed the stunt team to tie his hands tightly. Phew!

Commenting on his daredevil stunt, Ashish said, “Dev has given me a chance to relive my Khatron Ke Khiladi days with some superb nail-biting action. When my creative team came to me about this underwater sequence, it was a no brainer. Me saying “Let’s do this!!” caught them by surprise. I still remember that it took us a good 4/5 hours to get the shot right. But the efforts have borne fruit and the viewers will definitely be in for a treat when they see this sequence on screen. While we were filming this particular scene, the channel and the creative team made sure that I safety was of utmost importance. It’s always an amazing experience doing adrenalin enhancing stuff at work.”
